Spinach Canapes
 

Ingredients

  • Base
  • 10 slices of bread
  • A little butter

  • Spread
  • 3 cups chopped spinach
  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 2-3 chopped green chillies pinch of soda-bi-carb
  • 2 T minced paneer
  • 4 T grated cooking cheese
  • 2 T oil salt to taste
 

Method

  1. Cut the bread slices into small squares or rounds. Apply a little butter on both sides and toast in a hot oven
    at 400 °F for 5-10 minutes or until crisp.
  2. Heat the oil and fry the onion, add the spinach, green chillies, soda-bi-carb and salt. Cook for 3-4 minutes.
    Add the paneer and remove from fire.
  3. Spread the spinach mixture on each toasted piece. Sprinkle grated cheese on top and bake in a hot oven
    at 400 °F until the cheese melts. Serve hot.

    Alternatively use baked beans and capsicum in onion and green chillies.

    Pizza sauce & mushroom topped with cheese.
