"Compassion
is the growing aspiration of your Life!"
These
beautiful words were told by Sadhu T.L.Vaswani
to Dada J.P.Vaswani on his birthday.
Compassion
is the heart of humanity, this is the
emotion that differentiates a human from
an animal. Animals can fear you or be
loyal to you, work for you etc. but Compassion??
No
! they are devoid of this feeling.
Combine compassion with the super intellect
and you have a perfect human being. But
what is the human being doing?? Killing
animals and birds to satisfy his taste
buds and palate, risking good health.
A number of doctors have said in recent
years that as "smoking is injurious
to health" so is meat eating.
Besides
health reasons, Dada J.P.Vaswani advocates
vegetarianism because it is a path of
compassion, kindness and of sympathy.
He
often says that if man can demonstrate
compassion towards the lowliest of creatures,
he will begin to develop the same qualities
in relationship to his fellow man. For
peace and non-violence to exist in the
world, they must begin on the micro-level.
Revered
Dada J.P.Vaswani quoted in one of his
talks
.
"Goethe
(A Greek Philosopher) said, we need to
grow in Reverence, -
Reverence for what is above us
Reverence for what is around us
Reverence for what is beneath us,
Reverence for All Life, also for birds
and animals.
Hearts have to be awakened and grow in
Reverence and Compassion for All Life.!!
"
In
order to create awareness, of the cruelty
and suffering inflicted on animals, 25th
November, our beloved founder Sadhu T.L.Vaswani's
birthday, has been inscribed in contemporary
history as A Meatless Day and Animal Rights'
Day. In India Sadhu Vaswani Mission is
making a massive effort to promote the
concept of Reverence for All Life
especially
in urging people to refrain from food
of all violence on this special day.
Governments
of Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat,
Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka order the
closure of all slaughter houses in these
states on 25th of November.
Our
Centre in Singapore is participating in
this campaign and we urge you all to please
join us. Anyone can do so by pledging
to abstain from meat eating on the 25th
by visiting our web sites at WWW.SADHUVASWANI.ORG.
or http://www.sakmeatlessday.com
where forms are available.
