Mava Pudding
 

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 L milk
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds and pistachios
  • 2 1 vinegar
  • 5 1 sugar
  • 1/4 t crushed cardamoms
  • 1/4 t saffron strands green colouring and rose essence
    (optional)
 


Method

  1. Boil half the quantity of milk with vinegar to make paneer. Strain and keep paneer aside.
  2. Boil the remaining milk with cardamoms and saffron till the quantity is halved.
  3. Add paneer and sugar. At this stage, the mixture can be blended to give a fine creamy consistency, if so desired.
  4. Add the colouring, essence and nuts. Pour into a dish, decorate with silver varkh. Serve cold.
