Hot Mushroom Turnovers
 

Ingredients

  • Dough
  • ½ cup softened cheese
  • ¾ cup flour
  • ¼ cup melted butter pinch of salt

  • Filling
  • ½ cup minced mushrooms
  • 1 T butter
  • 1 T sour cream
  • 1 T flour
  • ½ onion finely chopped salt & pepper to taste

 


Method

  1. For the dough, mix all the ingredients and shape into a ball. Wrap in a foil and refrigerate for an hour.
  2. For the filling, melt butter and fry onion; when soft add the rest of the ingredients. Cook for a few minutes and leave to cool.
  3. Roll out dough and cut into 7 cm circles. Fill half the circle with a little filling. Fold like a curry puff and seal well. Place on a greased tray, brush with milk and bake in hot oven till golden brown.
