Cheese Straws
 

Ingredients

  • 100 gms white flour
  • 200 gms grated New Zealand cheddar cheese
  • 2 T butter
  • ½ t baking powder
  • 1 t mustard dash of tabasco

 


Method

  1. Mix all the ingredients with fingertips till it resembles crumbs.
  2. Add enough water to make a stiff dough
  3. Roll the dough out and cut into strips.
  4. Grease a baking tray and place the straws on it.
  5. Preheat the oven 450° - 500° F.
  6. Bake the straws on a low temperature (275° - 325° F) for 10 mins. then turn the side and cook for another 5-7 mins.
  7. Let it cool.
